She enjoyed family gatherings and playing 500 rummy. Her floral arrangements won many blue ribbons at the Langlade County Fair. She loved gardening, sharing her flowers and vegetables with her family and neighbors. Many strangers became friends over a bowl of soup and a piece of pie. She enjoyed baking and will be remembered for her apple pie and beef roast. Ann's Society and the Devine-Menting American Legion Auxiliary Unit 525, Phlox.
In her retirement she worked seasonally for Teal's Foliage. In 1966 she and her husband purchased the General Store in Phlox retiring in 1984. Marx worked at the Antigo Krambos Food Store and tied flies for Sheldon's. She was a graduate of Mattoon High School. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1996.
She married Raymond "Herbie" Marx on Septemat St. She was born on Novemin Phlox, a daughter of the late Adney and Minnie (Egging) Welch. Dorothy Elizabeth Marx, 94 of Phlox, died Thursday, Novemat the Homme Home in Wittenberg surrounded by family.
